Mac Tip of the Week

Here is a great tip to get info for certain files and folders on your Mac. Also it shows you how to bring up the “inspector” so it will automatically switch to give you the info of a file or folder you select.

Just wanted to shed some light on our New Meet Up Schedule. We will now have a subtopic for each iPhone & iPad course (i.e Lean how to use your iPhone & iPad, iBetter: Maps). Also, our other classes will now have a three level system that they will follow. Level One, Two, & Three (Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced). Traktor Kontrol Z2

Native Instruments will be releasing the Traktor Scratch Certified Kontrol Z2 on November 1st. When I first saw it I couldn’t help to think it was slightly reminiscent of my Pioneer DJM-T1 however, I was intrigued by the idea of an digital/analog hybrid mixer from NI (the company who brought us Traktor, Maschine, Komplete, etc). Needless to say after watching a few videos I put my spare Pioneer on eBay and can’t wait for this mixer to come out!

Apps Gone Free is an app that sends a push notification with a daily newsletter regarding all of the apps in the App Store that have “gone free”. A lot of developers will purposely release their app for free for a couple days in order to gain higher ranks and more publicity. This app alerts you when those developers do so, so you can capitalize on all the best App Store promotions!

Just a reminder to all of the Maschine users out there, the 1.8 update is now available as well as the free fully-featured version of Massive that comes with the 1.8 update. The 1.8 update boasts tons of new features such as time stretching for samples, new effects, and better overall performance to name a few.
